About the event

Join us from the comfort of your home for an hour of learning and movement!

In this workshop, the goal will be to leave with a sense of how to improve pelvic floor health during heavy lifting/intense exercise. Through posture changes and using natural stabilizing mechanisms in your body, we hope that you can feel more supported doing the things you love. We will be discussing both running and lifting mechanics after going through the "why" of dysfunction.

The format of the workshop will be the following:

-Understand your pelvic floor

-Learn why leaking and dysfunction can occur during heavy lifts and running

-Improve running mechanics to reduce the strain on pelvic floor muscles

-Master posture changes during lifts to help your core work smarter, not harder

Power point willl be utilized to follow along with the lecture topics, and we look forward to learning together!!

About the instructor:

Kiri Krishingner completed her doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018 at Loma Linda University in Southern California. After graduation, she worked towards completing her Mat Pilates Instructor certification, a Prenatal and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification, extensive pelvic health education, and translated those skills into her physical therapy practice.

After 6 years of outpatient orthopedic experience mixed with women’s health, Dr. Kiri now owns a small private practice in SW Gainesville called Naptime PT, where she treats women’s orthopedics and pelvic floor concerns. She is passionate about educating women to lift heavier and run farther without pain or discomfort.
